This is what our MP sent to us.

Your husband's case is active and awaiting action. The good news is that

there doesn't appear to be any particular reason, or problem with the case

to explain why it is taking so long to process. However, there is

unfortunately a large back log of cases.

I have asked for them to look further into the case and give me a call

back with any further information. But otherwise I'm afraid it is a case of

waiting.

Friends i am so fed up waiting for my moms visa (i submitted her passport with call latter on 5th july) ..i have emailed Dubai Embassy, islamabad embassy, even made complaint but no news, when i call gerrys they say that i should callback in 4,5 days every time..

Is there anything i can do to speed up this process? i am in Pakistan for 3 months and so broke now

Hi People im really stuck and i really need help, i went for my husbands court hearing here in UK as it had been rejected

My husband then receievd a letter saying all the rejected bit has been accepted and that another letter will be on its way telling him about when he will have to bring his passport to the office in pakistan for a stamp

i dont know much about this stuff, and i ahvnt got a solicitor, its been a month now and my husband hasnt recieved any call letter, who can i contact

Has anyone got the contact number for the person i can contact to ask them about when my husband will recieve the call letter??? thanks

Just to let you know that its been 18 weeks since my husband received his determination for a won appeal and there is still no sign of the call letter.

I've just emailed STEUKHUB again as they keep saying Gerrys will call us when the passport is ready. I then email back to say the call letter hasn't even arrived yet so why would we be waiting to pick up his passport? They just don't seem to understand my question.

We don't seem to be making any progress and my MP hasn't had any luck yet either.

I expected the long wait after the passport was submitted, not before.

Its so frustrating!!!!

i understand your frustration when my moms appeal (Family visitor visa) was accepted i sent an email to Dubai office and they replayed an email saying that i should print their replay and attach it with application and dont need to wait for a call letter.

Hi Fellow affectee's of UKBA

today i called Dubai office and they informed me that they made a decision on my mothers case (appeal allowed) on 29th and they have sent the passport for stamping this can take 2 weeks...i think they mean that i will get the passport in 2 weeks or they will send it in two weeks, couldn't get properly?

Yes This is called Call Letter

I think they wrote this by mistake (because this is format of Visit visa call letter). you should call them to clearfy (nothing to worry)

Eveyone here is waiting fo the return of there passports. As it is taking such a long time. Firstly has anyone considered going down to the Gerry's offices and checking if the passport has arrived? and secondly are people being selfish and not updating others when they recieve there passports. To date I have not read anyone stating they have collected there passport.

Gerry's is a handling company working on behalf of British High commission Pakistan...in general it is a sister branch of Fedex which is a courier company.

islamabad 2moro if i get get dates before Eid can i do that i first applyed

from lahore?

its all gona depend on TB test date. I am hoping i will get early dates for it

aswell lets c if not then i will go for lahore.

you don't need to write anything, when u will visit gerry's they will fill a form for you..

its better to see what is convenient for u about the venue,, u can discuss this with gerry's and explain them about the tb result..

I never received any call letter for my mom ..i just got an email from dubai saying i should print it out and attach with the passport.. the call letter had some references numbers and my moms passport number and appeal number..

Certainly review and appeal allowed seem to be two different things again call BHC or their dubai office to clear the confusion .

coz they said to me they have received my appeal papers and in turn they

want me to submit my passport to review my refusal?

You need to stop worrying and just chill out.

The letter you have received is standard call letter the same one my wife received.

You don't need to worry about dates that you have been asked for, however, to put your mind at ease why don't you include a cover letter stating you have enclosed all required documents i.e passport and TB certificate and also state in cover letter that your visa is for settlement and you intend to stay the full duration of same and give them a date of intenteded travel about 3 weeks from date you submit, thats what i did and my wife got her passport back with 4 weeks.
