Need some guidance...
My mother is principal applicant and our e-cas date is oct 2004,

I was 18 when we applied and now i am turning 24 this year.. But No gap in studies and all courses Full time

as 2004-2007- B.Com
2007-2008- Msc Finance (UK)
2009 Jan- July 09- Cert in Business Information Systems (UK)
2009 July-July 2010- MA Economics yr 1 (Gave 2 exams but could not give the remaning due to medical conditions.

Presently working in HSBC UK as Analyst on TIER 1 visa.

Could this damage my chance of immigrating to canada with my parents in the near future coz i am working in uk and i am not a dependent on them anymore.

Dependent children
A son or daughter is dependent when the child:

•is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner
•is a full-time student and is substantially dependent on a parent for financial support since before the age of 22, or since becoming a spouse or common-law partner (if this happened before age 22) or
•is financially dependent on a parent since before the age of 22 because of a disability.

It is my understanding that you are 'locked in' to the criteria when you apply, so technically if you met the requirements when you apply, you should be OK. Having said that, six years is a very long timeline. I assume you are applying through India? If you are applying through London, UK there might be something wrong here?

My mother applied in oct 2004 and i was dependent then .

Now I am working in UK on work permit,so will i be able to accompany her or not.
