Doubt regarding balance

Post by superutp » Sun Sep 05, 2010 4:26 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply for a tier 1 PSW visa in november...

I have maintained a constant balance of 1000 pounds in my savings account for the last 3 months...without any transactions on this account

i read somewhere that apart from showing the balance there also needs to be transactions on the account.

is that true?...hope someone can clarify

HI

Yeh I think you have good balance 1000 pound if you just keep using like 2 or 3 or 5 pound spending and and deposit again just show that u r using it like in normal way. that will be safe if u keep 950 untouchable and keep using under 50 and deposit again. if you will not show transactions then UKBA think where the money coming from you are using with out using your 1000 pounds!!

thanks for the reply....

one thing is that, the 1000 pounds is in the savings account...while the money i regularly use if from the current account....so i dont use any of the money in the savings account..while the current account has transactions going on..

so i guess when showing the maintenance funds...i should show both the current and savings account of the same bank account...right?

better to stick with one account. there is as such no law or guidance which says to do transaction you can keep the account untouch if you want.
