Permanent Residency for husband and me

Post by dani79 » Sat Sep 11, 2010 1:38 pm

Hello

My husband (Pakistani) and I (German) applied for his IDL based on him being my dependant. I now got my passport back but his passport is still with the home office.

Do they always send the passports separately or could there be a problem? It is a bit worrying that we did not get all our documents back either.

So you both applied for PR together using the EEA3&4 forms?

Had your husband resided with you in the UK for 5 years prior to applying?

Yes, we applied together with all documents and yes, he is living here since 2003. we are married since 2005.

It is very disrespectful the way the home office treats non eea. Sometimes They stamp our passports, ask us to fill in a landing card, wait too long for our application to be processed. The way they apply the directive is appaling

When did you both apply? If the application is still within six months from the date of receipt by the UKBA then they are still within the time frame required to assess and approve such an application.

However, I understand your curiosity as to why your joint PR application wasn't jointly approved.

You may send an enquiry to the relevant casework department requesting an update.
