Hi there......

Can anyone tell me if you have to give travel dates when applying for a UK Visa? and if so, what happens if you're refused after you've purchased the tickets for proof?

It doesnt make sense to buy tickets before your visa is approved.

Yes you have to give travel dates coz your visa will be inforce from that date. Application form gives you an option to mention your date of travel.
