Post by bhupen_rec » Mon Sep 13, 2010 8:43 am

Dear All,

Please advise me the process of applying for the Tier 2 application.
It is very confusing to read different things from different place .

I will be very greatful to you if you can tell me what I should do in my situation.

My Situation : Presently , I am working in Belgium and Have gove job offer from UK .

In order to get work permit ( i guess it is tier 2 - General ) , what are the steps I should take and my sponsor should do.

It is very urgent . it will be very nice of you if you can guide me.

Thanks a lot .

Dear sushdmehta,

thanks for your replies. Yes I read it but
i have a big problem now , my employee is giving me a contract which is not permanent and do you know where I can ask for invitation letter in this case or not ?

The human resource says they cannot offer me a sponsorship letter if i am contractor and not a permanent employee.

please , it is very urgent.

Without certificate of sponsorship you cannot apply under Tier 2. Period!

What do you mean by invitation / sponsorship letter, in the context of Tier 2 application?

Essentially meaning that they are not ready to sponsor you. So, unfortunately, no Tier 2 route for you.

Do you qualify for Tier 1 (General)?

Nothing you can do, unfortunately, if you do not qualify.
