My story goes thus, I'm a Nigerian who came into the UK in Oct 2002 on a student visa to study. Along the way in Dec 2002 my paths crossed with this lovely british lady and thus we started living together.
By June 2004 we decided to put in an application in the Unmarried Partner category using a lawyer in the London area. We supplied him with all the relevant documents but this lawyer insisted we needed more and thus 'fabricated' an Utility Bill then put forward the application.
We got a very nasty response from the HO, stating that I have included a forged bill and as such my passport was stamped with "Leave Curtailed"!

To cut a long story short, I had to change lawyers - I'm now with a reputable british immigration law firm, so an appeal was sought.
Fortunately the appeal came through yesterday giving me a date for the second week of May 2006.
Though the law firm has giving me an assurance to provide a credible defence but deep down I'm not really sure of what the outcome would be.
My question is "What chances have I got?" - It's imperative to state that, I'm still living with this girl and infact she'll be at the court hearing.
Another thing that bugs me is that - will the judge still expect me to still be enroled as a student at a Uni or College? to be honest, I stopped going to uni since last June due to depression.
Your response would be highly appreciated.
Pls help!
