EEA national and Indian spouse EEA family permit

Post by immig.inf » Wed Sep 22, 2010 10:20 pm

My friend is an EEA national, having Indian spouse. They have two kids, who are EEA nationals too.vTo settle, live and work in UK, the spouse plans to apply for a EEA family permit.

But right now their financial position is not so strong (no job in this country, available funds just for surviving three or four months). Does my EEA national friend need to be self-sufficient to support the spouse application?

Thanking in anticipation?

See initial right of residence, explanation of "qualified person", and generally the EUNs.

Thanks 86ti, I have seen these links from one of your earlier posts. Does this mean that my friend's current finanical position will not have an impact on the spouse EEA permit application? Thanks a lot!

I have studied in detail the information that you have provided, but I am unable to answer this situation.

1- Does my friend have to show financial statements along with the EEA family permit application of spouse (similarly as someone show for sponsoring any other visa, such as visit visa)?

2- If my friend could not show these, will the EEA permit application of spouse be rejected?

Urgent help would be appreciated!!

No you do not need to show financial resources in order to apply for an EEA family permit. Does not matter.
