Marrying green card holder

Post by michel2 » Sun Sep 26, 2010 4:29 pm

I am a UK citizen and my boyfriend is a US Green Card holder...we are looking into being together permanently and it is more feasible for us to be together in the US as he has two children settled there. I am due to go on a three month visit in the New Year to him and was wondering if everything goes well and we get married in the US would i be allowed to apply for a visa and stay with him over there even if it meant not working?? Also if I did marry and got a visa when would i be allowed to work? Many thanks
