Which date to consider for previous earnings

Post by googler » Tue Sep 28, 2010 11:50 am

Hello all members,

I intend to apply for Tier 1 (general) visa from outside UK on 15 October 2010. As per guidline, we can claim points for previous earnings during the 15 months before application date.

I would like to know that is it possible to claim for the salary I recieved for June 2009 if the date of payment is later than 15 July 2009?

In general, my compay pays the salary for each month about one month later. Which date is important for the case officer? The date the salary is credited to my account or the last day of each month I have worked for my employer (i.e. end of June, end of July, etc)??

Thanks for your advice and comments in advance.

As I need comments on this question quite urgently to prepare my previous earnings details, I would be very thankful for any help or comments.

Thank you pkumar for the comment.

However, I still don't know if the date of salary payment should be within the past 15 months or the date which I actually worked. Because I recieve salary about some weeks after the end of month I have worked actually.

Thanks for any clarification.

I would take the day i started to work as FIRST Day in my calculation .... you can show as many pay-slips as long it falls within 12months ... BUT REMEMBER ... you need to take first as day you started to work NOT your the date of your first salary.

E.g. if you your salary for credited on July 1st for June month ... then your first day of 15 month salary is 1st June.

So if I understand your point correctly, when I apply on 15th of October 2010, I cannot include the salary of month July 2009 in my previous earnings. Because 15 days of month June 2009 would be out of 15 month period before application.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
