Tax related for HSMP

Post by viren68 » Thu Apr 06, 2006 6:20 pm

Hello,

I am on HSMP in UK for the last 9 months and in regular employment.
Recently I began college teaching as part time job along with the other fulltime job.
Both jobs are running concurrently.

My query is can my full time employer come to know about the part time job I am doing.

Secondly the new employer has given me P45 for tax purposes. I am confused and what to do to get the payment.

Please advise

Hi

>> It totally depends upon your agreement with your full-time employer. If there is no clause in your agreement that you have to inform him then no need to inform other you must be carefully and should inform your full-time employer about this cos he can create some legal problems.

Secondly the new employer has given me P45 for tax purposes. I am confused and what to do to get the payment.

>> Both jobs are indepedent to eachother so you have pay taxes on both jobs independently but have to mention same National Insurance number.

Thanx
