Post by saurya_s » Tue Apr 11, 2006 10:07 am

Hi all,
I am wondering while I am on HSMP and I haven't found a job or unempl;oyed for few months, am I allowed to travel during that period? Well, my partner (dependent on me) will be employed at that time.

>> Yes you are allowed to travel if you have valid visa

my partner (dependent on me) will be employed at that time.

>> If you are unemployed and your partner is working then how come your partner is dependent on you ?

Thanx

But don't stay beyond the time allowed i.e. 3 months at a stretch and 6 months in total before you get ILR.

Also, the fact that your dependant will continue in employment during that time will not have any impact on your assessment when you apply for extension. Your dependant's earnings should not have been required for your upkeeps.
