I know it feels like every single marriage is getting scrutinised, heads starts rolling once you have a non-eu marrying an EU. A mate of mine an Indian national married to British national two weeks ago, they applied in May of this year for their intention to the registrar and got a date in late September. (this is quick as compare to Dublin and other big cities as the venue was Leitrim. By marrying outside you are killing two birds with one stone which is getting a quicker date and secondly most importantly, wedding reception in a 4* hotel would cost alot less and hotels are going an extra mile to deliver nowadays + its a great day out for family/friends).
