EU family member in UK

HI all, I have got my EU family visa to UK and will be traveling there soon with my Brithish/EU husband. Would like to ask how do I apply for EU family residence once in UK? WE have been leaving in Ireland and it was very strait forward with the EU1 form and then getting 5 years residence. I believe it will have the same principle in UK, but what form and another Q- when will I get a work permit ? thank you

There are no 'work permits' on the EEA route.

If there are no work permits, then how EU sposes can work while 6 months waiting time for RC ?

The home office will issue a certificate of application on receipt of your application. Supposedly, you can commence work by this document alone as a proof of right to work.
Personally speaking, i couldn't work with this document and many agencies refused me

oh, thank you soo much , now i understand. I ve got to say it seems that Irish have got it arranged better with the plastic cards for EU family.
