It is only the UKBA that can decide wheather to approve or refuse the application. I believe when you submit the application via NCS or postal they will eventually discover the visa on your passport. Perhaps you could write a good cover note explaining your situation but do not it hide it. Goodluck

Or you can make a postal application, but not send you original passport. Just send certified copies of passport. :)

I think the fact you have PR in another country should not prevent you to naturalization on grounds of future intentions so long you declare your future lies in the UK. However, you may be asked further questions or even interviewed on this. I would reccomend sending a covering letter explaining the PR as a past intention.

If you send through NCS, how would they know about it?

Council will just copy your ILR and other UK visas and first page of your passport. They will stamp them and forward to HO.

Hi
I am in the same situation. But I feel it will not be a problem , I suppose . Mainly you never know before you get your ILR wether it will be approved or not ? So you are taking a risk if not decided to take that to Canada. On top of it , those days here in UK they keep changing the immigration rules time to time and so you are in ambiguity in the getting of ILR. Probably I will explain those things in my application and welcome any other ideas.

I assumed NCS actually photocopies all the passport pages - not true?
Anyway, I still think that as long you fulfil residential requirments then PR in another country does not matter so long to declate that your future lies in the UK. The PR in another country is a result of past intentions and not current or future ones.
