Parents British Citizens and im Indian-advice needed

Hello Fellow Forumer's,
I am a new use for this forum but have had rave reviews about it and thus im here with a complex problem looking for answers and advice

Here Goes...My parents are british citizens after gaining indefinate stay and then naturalising...they came here from india 13 years ago along with my brother...while i got left behind as i was doing A levels and they were undecided weather they would saty in england...i finished A levels and joined medical school by the time they did decide...so persevered with it got my degree and then came to this country about 3years back.

Now the rest of my family eventually got a british passpost based on their stay here...while i am still on an indian passport...now i didnt perseive that as a problem all these days as i had started to work with the NHS and thus hoped i would eventually gain similar status sooner or later. Now with the Home Office changing rules everything is on a knife edge for all overseas medical graduates. . I would also be greatful if anybody could offer me advice on how i can obtain my parents status and means to do the same. Hoping to hear some encouraging advice from all of u helpful people out there adn thank you in advance for the same.

Lastly I offer my whole hearted support to all the effort that has been put into place to protest for these unfair and unjust rules produced by the home office and on behalf of fellow colleagues of mine urge people who are reading this post to also sign a petition which has been set up to protest against the changes.

Can you give some more information? Your current age? And your UK immigration history .... what type of visa, relevant dates?

thank u very much for the reply...I am 28 years old now..born in 1978...
well i initiallly came into the country with a Visitor visa for the PLAB exam which was in october 2002...this visa ran till 30/07/2004...
from 1/08/2004 till date i have been on the Permit Free Training VISA for postgraduate doctors...this is valid till 31/08/2006. I hope this is the information u asked for..but please let me know if u want any more and ill promptly give u the same...

No-one on an online forum is going to be able to help you concerning the details of your family's original application to the UK. You should contact a good immigration lawyer to be sure, however be prepared for an answer you may not want to hear.

That aside you would have to qualify for indefinite leave to remain on your own merits, unless any of the "family reunion" categories apply to you - check http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk

After getting indefinite leave to remain, you'll have to apply for naturalisation under normal rules.

See a lawyer.

visitor visa from october 2002 to july 2007??, that makes 2 yrs..

isn't the max time allowed on the visitor visa, 6 months?

actually i came on a PLAB Visit visa which can be extended for 18 months after the original visitor visa expires...

Thanks JAJ for ur advice i am pursuing all avenues availabe to look for advice i am ready for the worst and am looking at other avenues too

i would like to ask u a few things...i had a look in the ind website for ''family reunion'' was unable to find any info...could u please direct me further on the subject...secondly my parents came here to work for the NHS and then got naturalised...

I think you need to accept that the detailed, specialised advice you need cannot be provided by an online forum. Get a lawyer.
