I am a indian national who has been living in the UK since 2004. I first came on the working holiday maker visa and then got a work permit for 5 years which will expire in August 2011. I am not enjoying my current work and want to live it, which means my work permit will get cancelled and i will have to leave the country or apply for a new work permit. I have got a steady relationship with my girlfriend for the last one year and we plan to get married in the coming years, she is from EU. I was looking on the web and it says that i can apply for a EU family permit visa. Please advice

It needs to be a "durable relationship", which in the UK is 2 years + living together as if you were married.
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.
