When will the 20 per cent UKBA budget cut kick in?

Post by Daniboy » Sat Oct 23, 2010 10:36 pm

Hi

This week a significant, 20 per cent cut in the UKBA budget has been announced in George Osborne's Spending Review.

I am afraid if any governmental agency cuts its budget, it is the applicants who get hit the most. Longer waiting times, worse customer care, bigger agency effort to dismay applicants from insisting on their applications by various deliberate obstructions etc. To the agency dealing with immigrants this will apparently apply at least twice as much as usual, because the immigrants in general arguably belong among the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and defenceless categories of the UK population.

Does anyone with general experience in the British public sector have any idea when the UKBA budget cut is likely to kick in?

Thank you in advance for any assessment.
