McCarthy v. Secretary of State for the Home Department C-434

Post by Monifé » Thu Oct 28, 2010 3:52 pm

Hi,

Just wondering has anyone heard an update on this case?

McCarthy v. Secretary of State for the Home Department C-434/09)

It was regarding Shirley McCarthy's (dual Irish/British citizen) right to a permanent residence certificate, so she could then obtain a residence card for her husband (which was refused initially).

Just go to the CURIA web page and search for the case or for the most recent judgments.

Would it be up online already? It was only heard in the ECJ today.

If it was only a hearing the final judgement may still be some time away?

I think the Judgement was yesterday.

It wasnt an actual hearing of a case, it was 2 questions referred to the ECJ.

Has anyone any news/updates on the above case?
