Tier-1 dependent ...is highly skilled?

As a dependent of Tier-1 is it possible to search "Highly Skilled" job?How is employers response for Tier-1 dependents.

The person on a dependant visa can take any sort of job, highly-skilled or not.

Thank you for message.Few of my friends told me that Tier-1 dependent visa holder normally face difficulties as employers usually show reluctunance in giving them jobs they prefer Tier-1 main visa holder.

I dont think thats the case. Why would that be so?

Your dependants are allowed to work, though your partner may not be allowed to work as a doctor in training.

May be because Tier-1 holders come through a PBS process which proves them "Highly Skilled" unlike dependents.

A Tier 1 (General) visa is not a job guarantee certificate. Just as the main migrant has to search for jobs based on his / her qualifications, skills and experience, the same applies for a Tier 1 (General) dependent.

The visa is an entry ticket to live and work in the UK. Whether one finds work to continue living in the UK has nothing to do with the entry ticket (visa). That's a different ballgame altogether.
