Tier 2 Dependent VISA requirements

Post by rajagopalan » Sun Oct 10, 2010 12:45 pm

Hi,
I have Tier 2 VISA from "A" rated company. I applied for dependent VISA on 7th July 2010 and it was rejected for the reason insufficient funds, with right of appeal. I am planning to apply again (Dependents are at India). It would be great, if you could help me in clarifying few doubts,

1. I have been living in UK for the past three months, but i do not have UK bank account. Is it compulsory to have a UK bank account to show the funds balance? Or can i show the funds from my India Bank Account.

2. If Indian bank accounts are acceptable in my case, What is the currency conversion rate applied by the UKBA? i.e.for 533 pounds how much Indian rupees i should show the balance?

3. The funds to be available for 90 days from the date of application. Is this correct?

4. Other than Marriage certificate and Funds, is there any documents that need to be provided for considering the case?

5. Do i need to show that i am deputed from India to UK to work for the company at UK? Is my VISA only sufficient to get the dependents VISA?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Rajagopalan
