Natualisation form question

Post by AlexCh » Mon Apr 24, 2006 1:10 pm

Hi All,

I am trying to fill the naturalisation application form and I am little bit confused about question 1.29, which asks about my wife's name. It seems that it asks about my wife's name before the marriage and about her name at birth, but I could not find any questions about her current name - does that mean that nobody needs it? Isn't it strange?

Any comments?

Cheers,
Alex

Maybe they assume that she has the same surname as you after marriage?

Yes she does have the same surname - but I know a lot of girls who did not change their names after their marriage. And at least one of them kept her surname from her previous marriage.

On the same form they ask about my father's current name and his name at birth - without making any assumptions.
