will i be questioned

Post by misfired » Wed Nov 03, 2010 2:13 pm

Hi Guys

I have got a little query and hopefully you guys will help me

I came to UK in 2005 in Student Visa and changed my Visa status to IGS in 2007 and to Tier 1 in 2009, but since i have changed my status to Tier 1 i didnt go out of the country at all and now i am visiting Pakistan in December but the question i have is the college where i was studying in 2005-07 is now closed and no where to be seen, but when i will come back to UK, will the immigration officials ask me about my student visa or anything about my past visas, my current visa is tier 1 since 2009 till 2012

Any replies are much appreciated and thanks in advance

if you studied legally and attended classes and your degree which you earned wasn't counterfeit then you shouldn't have any issues at all mate.

Which college was it? Has it just closed, or was there a problem with it?
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

They definitely and often do - especially if the college or degree is on their "suspicious" list. They are fairly thorough when it comes to checking these things.

You can take a chance, but if you are caught out, you will be banned from the UK for a long time.

You may be questioned if the IOs are suspicious and/or aware of your deception. And they would not need to browse through your passport to figure it out - they have other resources for the purpose.

This said, it's been years since you bought a degree so you might just not be on their radar if you are lucky.

Therefore, can go either way!
