family visiting while I'm waiting PSW visa decision

Post by DarrenT » Thu Nov 04, 2010 7:19 pm

Hi

I am enquiring on behalf of someone else. She is currently waiting for a reply from her application for a PSW visa, and would like a member of her family to come over to the UK from Pakistan.

Is this possible, does anyone know about any specific criteria or limitations? Any help will really be appreciated.

Thanks

1. Does she have a copy of her passport pages - the personal details page(s) and the visa page?
2. When does the current leave expire? Or has it already expired?

Hi Thanks for the reply!

Yes she does have these pages, although the passports (Both old and recently renewed one) are with the immigration office at present with the application. They're due back next week we think.

I believe the current visa has just expired, late last month.

many thanks!

Then the entry clearance application as family visitor will be refused.

Ok, thanks again for your clarification on that.

Once the new visa is granted (Which hopefully it is), do you forsee any issues she may face in doing this, & do you know anything about the prerequisites and limitations etc?

I have looked on the nety but not found anything specific, so if you have any knowledge on this I'd be grateful.

Cheers

When she is granted the visa she may invite family visitors.
