Child medication?

Post by kalpitsom » Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:06 am

I'm in uk with tier1 visa. Can somebody make me clear about whether we need to pay for the medicine prescribed by the doctor for our child under 16 ?
Thanks

Should be okay as it's not considered as public funds.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
In fact I've taken the medicines two times for my 5 yrs old son from pharmacy FREE OF COST as per doctor's prescription. After I took those free medicines one of the senior tier1 general visa holder suggested me to go and pay the amount for those medicines cos it is considered as public fund. More importantly he is also paying for all medications for his 10 yrs old son for last 4 yrs.
So as per your suggestion I have to ignore him, right?
Is there anyone who went through the same lane? Pls.
Many thanks
