ILR and Home Office reference!!!

Post by llb2010 » Tue Nov 09, 2010 8:30 pm

Hello all.
As you know, prior to gaining ILR, there is a section on the UKBA website (who is processing my case@), which claimants can type in their Home Office reference number and see the progress of their application. I have received my ILR about 2 months ago, but on UKBA website, it still shows that my case is being processed. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

Not true of all settlement applications, but for applications under some "specific categories".

Just a simple case of someone not doing his job right (updating the information relating to your case). Nothing to worry about!

If still concerned, call UKBA to inform them of the fact, and hopefully they will update the information.

I'm not really sure about this one!

Is this the reference number from your solicitor that you are typing in, or the one which Home Office gave you? because you need the Home Office one.. and it usually starts with a letter from your surname, followed by 7 digit numbers.

taz786, read my response above carefully. The tracking system is not for all categories of applicants ... and definitely not for people applying under SET(M).
