General Migrant parent claiming benefit for our irish baby

Post by anitha.venkat » Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:33 pm

Hello friends,

We (Indians) have recently moved to UK with our 3month Irish baby.

My husband is on General Migrant Tier 1 Visa and his visa page says no recourse to funds, because of which we cant get any public funds which may affect our ILR application later.

But because our baby is Irish, is there any possibility of getting child benefits or any other benefits on the baby's behalf ?

Thanks in advance.

Can you explain why you think your baby is an Irish citizen?

Thanks for your reply, John
Our baby has got his irish passport. My husband was working in Dublin for more than 3 yrs, on that basis we were able to get his irish passport.

Thanks in advance for your reply.
