3pt on licence...affect on british citizenship application??

Post by everandever » Thu Nov 11, 2010 10:22 am

Hi,

I'm very worried so can someone please answer my query.

I have recently submitted my citizenship application through NCS. I had 3 points on my licence along £60 fine for speeding, couple of years back and they will be removed in 6 months time. PLEASE NOTE THEY WERE NOT GIVEN IN THE COURT. I sent the licence and got it back with points through post.

On Ukba website, it is clearly mentioned that u don't need to mention regarding driving convictions on the application form if they were not given by the court.

I have no other criminal record whatsoever accept of 3 points :(

However when I went to ncs, the lady said that I have to mention those points. So I did mention on the form and now I'm worrying too much about the decision.

Does anyone been through this situation and got approved their citizenship after declaring their licence points???

I'm too upset regarding this so please please someone tell me...

Thanks in advance...

You should be fine. One single speeding conviction that was or was not given in court should not affect your application chances. Relax.
