Employer sponsored visa but employer may dissolve?

Post by londonusagirl » Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:13 pm

Hi,

I am currently on a UK Work Permit (before the tiered structure was in place, but I understand that qualifies me for a Tier 2 visa) sponsored by my company. My work permit is in date through 2013.

If in the future, my company no longer exists, how long am I able to stay in the UK? Am I able to 'transfer' the visa to a new company in the UK without reapplying for a new visa? What are my rights to be in the UK?

Any guidance or comments appreciated! Thanks!

No. you'll need a new sponsorship (CoS) and will need to make a fresh Tier 2 application.
