Settlement visa from the caribbean to UK

Post by Mrs Bennett » Tue Nov 16, 2010 11:04 pm

hi I have been living in the Uk for the past 8 years now and got married year ago to my partner. I travelled to the caribbean to apply for a settlement visa and all required documents and more was sent of since the last week of July. I was told that it would take 12 weeks to process. but when I contacted the UK BORDER AGENCY in New york where the application is currently being processed I was told it could take another 12 weeks. Has anyone had such an experience.

What also bothers me is that a friend of mine recieved his visa in 15 workings days.

For a better advice, we need to know what nationality are you and your husband?, What kind of visa did you hold for the past 8 years.

Each application is considered on individual merit so comparing with your friend's won't help!

If the application has superseded the UKBA's stipulated processing times for UK Spouse visas then you may contact them for an update.
