Approval period for Indian non IT people

Based on my experience and the ones whom I know, I am getting a feeling that the approval period for non IT engineers from India is much longer than the ones from other categories. Could all the people who had similar or contrasting results share their experience and specify the approval/rejection period please.

Applied in September 2004
Rejected in September 2005
Profession: Chemical engineer
Thinking of applying again in next month based on the feedback

Thi is not true. Use seacrh engine in this forum you will find that a lot of aproval case are not from IT. Approval time depend on case per case. Sometimes take long if they nee to verify your documents such as degree certificate, work reference, etc.
