Dependant FLR(O) application

I have joined this site just to check how long is the processing time for HSMP -FLR (O) dependant visa for my son who born in Uk. I have put the file before 6 weeks and still havent heard anything and I have booked my tickets for India for 3rd December and now really worried what I will do? My tickets are non- refundable and non changeable and I have sister's marriage on 9th Dec.
I am really worried. I called homeoffice number but they told the processing time is up to 4 to 14 weeks. Now I got really worried as all my friend children got visas in 3 to 4 weeks maximum.

Options:
1. Withdraw application (fees is not refunded) and request return of passport at the earliest. No guarantee though that UKBA will return the passport in time. Travel to home country and apply EC for child from there.
2. Wait patiently and hope that you receive the visa before your travel date. If you don't receive it, cancel the trip.
