I am married to a British citizen who lives in the UK. I applied for settlement visa and granted while working for the UN.For some work and education related reasons, I couldn't go for the first 12 months of my 27 month visa and now am planning to join her as soon as possible(flight booking to be done this week).
My questions are:
1.As I have good job in the UN involving humanitarian assistance and needed by my organisation, can have I the opportunity to stay with her in several months and then come back to my work and frequently visit her? She is happy with that.
2.If the above is not possible, will I have problem getting in the UK with my visa for not coming to the UK for above year despite holding it?

If you are planing to eventually settle in the UK, then it's probably ok to use your spouse visa until it expires, subject to 321.
