Naturalisation question for minor

Post by soulfullness » Sat Nov 20, 2010 8:23 pm

Hi all
I am going to apply for naturalisation within a couple of weeks time. However my spouse will be applying for the same 6 months later than me as they did not complete 5 years including ILR. My question is whether my child who is 13 years old can be included with my application with MN1 ? As I ask this whether one parents has to be a British Citizen and the other to be a ILR to include a minor(child)

please read this pharse from UKBA:

Children born abroad to parents who are applying for British citizenship
Where one or both parents are applying for British citizenship they may apply for one or
more children who are not automatically British at birth (see “Automatic acquisition of
British citizenshipâ€

If your son has ILR and has lived in the UK for at least 2 years, then yes.
