ILR & permit free visa (training-jr doctor)

Post by desidoc » Tue Nov 23, 2010 10:16 pm

Hi friends
I would really appreciate if some one could clarify the following:
I worked from 2003-206 as a jr doctor with a permit free visa, then applied for HSMP in AUG 2006 (had to go back to india to get it stamped). I then changed to tier 1 in 2008, due to expire in 2011.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR ILR NOW OR DO I NEED TO WAIT TILL AUG 2011?
Thanks in advance

Hi Srinivas,
Permit free visa time will not count towards ILR.You will qualify 5 yrs from the date you entered UK on your HSMP visa.
Best regards
