Im here on Tier 2 General. Do you think they can change the law in the next year or 2 to prevent me from getting ILR at some point?

Yes, anything can happen. In general though if you were granted the status when it led to settlement then you had a reasonable expectation when you were granted it. If they take that away retrospectively you can expect a judicial challenge - and the UKBA have lost ar avoided most of those in the last few years. They'll probably shut the door for some future applicants (intra-company for instance).

It's annoying how the media portray this. Last night on BBC they were talking about skilled workers but showed multiple pictures of Muslim and Hindu mothers pushing babies in buggies - hardly your typical Tier 2 skilled worker!
