Divorce EU + non EU with child | PLEASE HELP

Post by Magmanto » Wed Nov 24, 2010 5:24 pm

Hi,

I'm EU citizen married to a non European, since 2006. We live in Ireland since 2007 and he has a Stamp4 Visa valid until 2012. Our relationship it's not going well and the divorce is going to happen. What are his chances for the renewal based on the contact with our daughter? He is a great father and wouldn't be fair to end with their conviviality. He is working full time now, but he was on social welfare from September 2009 until March 2010.
Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

I just went to the Citizensinformation and they adviced me to look for the Family Mediation Service, once the divorce in Ireland can take up to 5 years, probably he will not have problems to review his Visa.

Tks,
