switching from dependent visa to work permit-urgent

I came to London in January 2010 & on dependent visa (Tier 1 dependent) right now. I want to switch my visa category from dependent to work permit. My company is ready to sponsor my visa. Could anyone please tell me what documents do I need to apply for the same?

Work Permit scheme closed in 2008. You may apply under PBS as a sponsored skilled worker.

You cannot switch, but will need to apply for entry clearance as a Tier 2 (General) migrant from outside the UK.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I am already working with the company. Should I go back to my country & try to get work visa from there?
