Please can you help me?

Hi,

I have currently returned back to the uk having been repping for several years. I just wanted some help while repping I met my partner and we have been together for 2 years now and are engaged. He is a 25 yr old Tunisian (Im 23) and has got a degree in English (Its embarresing but he speaks and writes English better than me.) Anyway he always said he didnt want to come to England as he has a good job in Tunisia doing the same as me... but I cannot settle there so after lots of thought we have disided I need to come back and he will join me in England.

The problem... he applied for a holiday visa for 3 weeks to be here in October and with 6000dn a job with a uk company and a place to stay at my mums I did not really think it would be a problem... but it was because he didnt have pay slips and we didnt prove how large my mums house was in the letter to stated he could stay with us.

Now we don't want to reapply for the same thing as he wont get it again they dont give payslips to local staff. I was wondering if anyone could help. where am I best going from here? see if a company would sponsor my other half because of his degree in English or do we get married or do we apply for a fiance visa or another holiday visa? I am so lost as to what is best all I know is that we want to be together!O I have a full time job starting in Jan as a recruiter so should be on about 20k a year if that makes any difference?....

Any help you can give me I would be so greatful my heads going around in circles trying to find out wahts best

Han

If you have documented proof that you have been living together in a relationship 'akin to marriage' for a minimum of 2 years you can apply for an Unmarried Partner Visa (UPV) to settle in the UK. You'll also have to show that you are able to support yourselves financially and that you have adequate accommodation.
