Bank Statements for Tier 1 (General)

I have a basic question

I use online banking and do not get statements by normal mail. Can I print out bank statements (which are available each month as a PDF file) and use as "original documents" for submitting my application?

The forms/rules state I need to submit original documents

has anyone here used printouts taken from bank statements?

othewise signed and stamped
