Visitor visa - Error

I applied Family visitor visa in India for my in-laws. I requested the post dated in Jan 2011. We got posta dated visa for father-in-law, but mother-in-law got the visa from the date when it was applied. When we approached VFS, we have been advised to send e-mail to BHC. We sent an e-mail last week, but there is no response. I think VFS is wrong in saying to contact BHC rather than sending the passport to BHC.

Any body got any opinion and similar experience?

BHC is the one that you should write to to bring the issue to their attention. If a decision is taken to change visa date BHC will inform you to submit the passports at local VAC.
