Advice on this immigration company

Post by monamd » Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:19 pm

www.ukvisaandimmigration.co.uk

Is this a legitimate firm, cannot find them on OISC, they offer a no visa no fee incentive which seems appetizing, however, onestopvisa.co.uk also offered this incentive and later closed down. any thoughts, please let me know, thank you

They do show the OISC logo on their website, but you're right, if you go to the Register of Immigration Advisors on the OISC website, it's not immediately apparent that they are listed. There is one company in Birmingham that might be them.
But if you've any doubts why not contact OISC and ask them, and post the result here? If they're not legitimate, OISC will be glad to be informed about them.
There are some companies outside the UK who make it look as if they're operating in the UK, but the contact phone number redirects the call abroad.
If you take a "no visa no fee" deal, make sure you read all the small print. Some companies who offer this are notorious for going back on the commitment, alleging that the client didn't inform them fully about their circumstances.

They are on the OISC register - take a look at

http://www.oisc.gov.uk/people_seeking_i ... _advisers/

The link above goes to the OISCs register of immigration advisors. If you scroll towards the bottom, or CTRL+F and type in "UK Visa and Immigration" this will highlight their listing.

PS They have quite a few registered advisors to be fair!

Interesting that Betterus1 is posting from the same IP address as member Jamesw who was previously suspected of advertising OneStopVisa! 8)

Hi Monamd. The company you specified back in December 2010 are indeed a legitimate company.

I used them recently in order to get a Visa and I was highly impressed with the service I received. I did what some of the other people recommended on here, which was to contact OISC and they confirmed that they are registered to do what they say they do.

From a Customer Service point of view, I found them very helpful as I had never applied for a Visa before. I was apprehensive about paying upfront, but I did and within about 7 weeks I think I had my Visa.

Like many people I am worried about scams from these types of companies, but ukvisaandimmigration.co.uk went all out to put me at ease. I just kept in constant contact with them to make sure everything was ok.

I hope this helps you. Have a good day.
