Degree awarding institution Name changed--Need Help(Tier 1)

Hi

I am planning to apply Tier 1 next week . I am confused about my evidence on Education and English language .

Here is my case
I did my engineering from S.V.Regional College of Engineering which was affiliated to South Gujarat University. My degree was awarded by South Gujarat University and same name is mentioned in degree certificate

Subsequently S.V.Regional College of Engineering was renamed to S.V. National Institute of Technology . Also south Gujarat University got renamed to Veer Narmad south Gujarat University.

In the Self Assement summary , I have selected Veer Narmad south Gujarat University as my degree awarding University. In the UK NARIC institution list , Veer Narmad south Gujarat University is one of the university mentioned

My Question
1. Do I need to get any letter from my college suggesting that the college name has now remaned and same also with University.

2. Or can I just submit my degree certificate as it is withiut any supporting document. Will this be a problem

Need senior member help to clarify this.

would it be possible for you to get a letter from your uni clarifying the NAME CHANGE of the institution. I don't think it will cause major havoc. hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I dont think I will get the letter from university clarifying the name change in suhc a short period.

In the university website , there is an online affidavit mentioned which talks about the Govt order to change the name of the university. If I attach this in my application, will that help ??

I am sure I am not the single one here who has this dillemma . Need some urgent help
