Grandmother wants to bring Grandchild to the UK.

Post by moulie18 » Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:48 pm

Hello,

My friend is on TIER 4 student visa and her daughter is dependant to her.
She went on holiday last month and left the child to her home country.
Now my friends Mother is going to bring the child (granddaughter) to the UK and is there any kind of form my friend should fill.. or send??

Does anyone have any idea about that please????

Thanks a lot.

Moulie.

If the child has Leave to Enter/Remain as her mother's dependant, and the mother is legally in the UK, there should be a stamp or visa in the child's passport which will be valid to come back into the UK. If the child is not travelling with her mother, he/she should carry a letter from the mother explaining where she is, and a contact phone number so that the IO can check with her on arrival.
