need expert's help on Maintenance issues

Hello Experts

I am Alpesh Kukadiya, I have completed MBA from Plymouth university in July 2010. now I am in India and I would like to apply for Post study work. I have Rs. 2, 45,000.00 in My account at this moment which is more than 2800 GBP and I have Maintained another 1,50,000.00 in my wife's account which is more than 1600 GBP. I am planning to apply in first week of March 2011.

Now the Issue is:

In appendix 4 (For Post study work) section 7 says applicant must have to maintain the 2800+1600 GBP in his personal account. In my case I have maintained it separately.

Please guide me what should I do? Should I maintain the septate accounts or I have to club them.
