PSW Funds Maintenance Question - Please Help!!

Post by wynd » Thu Dec 16, 2010 9:50 am

Hi everyone,

With a combination of 3 accounts, I can show that I had £800 or above for the last 3 months except for 2 days. There was a deposit of £40 that came in 2 days later than it should have and I am really worried that this will effect my application.

I have a job and also will be starting another one in the spring; will this have any bearing on their decision? Are exceptions ever made at all or does this generally equal a no regardless of the situation? Or, would it be possible to get my employer to sponsor me as well - would that make any difference?

Please let me know - I don't want to leave the UK, as it is my home, and where I work.

If you were short by 2 days out of the 3 consecutive months, the application may well be refused for insufficient funds and maintenance.

I assume the application has already been submitted, in which case you will simply have to wait for the HO to write to you.

You may find useful information on the following link: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... dance2.pdf

Thank you for responding.

I haven't sent in the application yet - just wanting to know if psw visas are *always* refused or if exceptions are made at all.

I think I'm really asking 'Is it even worth applying?' Or, would I be able to stay via another route (such as my employer sponsoring me).
