Entry Clearance for my daughter

Post by whitbrown2012 » Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:32 am

Hello, I hope someone will be able to help.

I was recently granted ILR. I am now planning on applying for EC - settlement for my 12 year old daughter. And have a few questions:

1. Is there a method that is used by the ECO to assertion whether I have enough income to support the application? If yes, could someone please explain?

2. Secondly, it says that I should be able to support my daughter without the help of public funds? I am getting Child benefit and CTC for my other children, does that mean I will have to stop these in order to make this application? If not, how is that factored in the decision making?

3. My son is currently attending University, and he still lives at home. He is getting Student Loans and an NHS Bursery, and is contributing to the rent and household bills. Will this be classed as Public Funds as well?

Any response is greatly appreciated, and thanks in Advance.
