Maintainence Funds options...

Post by SunSpot » Sun Dec 26, 2010 2:12 pm

Hi, I am new here and still reading thru the forums...
I am wanting to apply for a Sponsored Skilled Visa from within UK and dont have 3 months left on my current visa. So I cant show the funds in acc. for the required period.
I have been a student for 3 years and have been working part-time and maintaining myself without any help. I cant go for the Post Study visa as I have a post graduate certificate only.

Are there any other options for me to show a the funds from within UK?

Thanks a lot.

yes, if ur employer is A rated and they confirm in COS that they will support u for the first month of employment then u don't have to show funds.

ask your employer two things before you even go for an iterview...

are you grade A or grade B sponsor?

go through code of practice, to find which job title/category , you would fall in and make sure sponsor is willing to offer you that much salary.!

otherwise.. it would be a waste of time!
regards

One of the positions I can go for is on the shortage list. Most of the employers are international companies so they should be A grade. But you are right I need to get proper information beforehand.

I just need to put together a good application and couple it with some references from people I know.

Also if the job is not on the list and needs to be advertised,is it necessary the ad needs to be at job centre or can it be on the employers website. Most employers just advertise on the website most of the time.

Thanks again.

read code of paractice and yo will find you/your employer needs to do to pass labour test.

just because a company is internationally based, doesn't mean they can sponsor new applicants. they must apply to UKBA to get licence to issue a certificate(COS) to you, without which you, candidate, cant apply for tier 2 license
