Tier-1 General Self Employment Query

Post by NRC » Thu Dec 30, 2010 2:57 pm

Hi Everyone,

I applied for Tier 1 visa on 29 november 2010 on a same day service. My application was taken in for further enquries.

On the 23rd Dec the employer for which I worked as self employed contractar has been contacted by the Home office. The case worker has asked the company director about my work and also if the company has changed the address.

Unfortunately the employer has changed the company address recently (but has not yet changed in the company house website). I was also not informed about this change of address. so he said to the case worker that he is in the process of changing the address.

In my application the old address is mentioned. I am in doubt if the result of my application will be affected due to the company address change. please help.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Not sure, I dont think it will effect your application status. Even my manager was contacted on 23rd, n was asked to fax documenets which i assume they did. did they contact your accountant as well or have you heard more about the case?

As long as the client can verify the evidence(s) you have submitted you'll be fine. The address where the client works from is irrelevant to your application.

thank you very much for your responce.

My only doubt is that they might have contacted the employer earlier through post but as they did not respond (due to address change) i assume they contacted through phone. This doubt arrised because the case worker asked the company director specifically if the company address has been changed recently.

I am hoping for the best, thank you once again.

Have they contacted your accountant as well?. because in my case they contacted manager and he answered anything they asked and sent him copy of my current contract next day in fax. But my accountant is off for xmas, so not sure if they contact him as well and if they tried making queries with him or not?
