Applying Tier 1 Visa without UTR number.

Hi,

I am applying for the Tier 1 (General) visa next month end. I am showing my income from bith employment and self employment. I have registered myself as self employed with HMRC in December but till now i have not received my UTR number. I am aware that I still have almost 3 weeks to wait for my UTR to arrive, but incase i dont receive my UTR on time, can I still apply for my Tier 1 visa? Is the UTR mandatory? I called up HMRC again tiday and they said that they have a huge backlog and they might process my application by 10th March 2011, but that will be too late for me. My current leave expires on 10th Feb 2011. What should i do?

I have all other documents to prove my earnings from self employment (Business bank Statement, Invoices, Accountants letter etc.).

I am really worried because of this UTR number.

Please advise.

Bro I've just won my appeal after being refused, and one the of the refusal's reasons was the same, you need to submit all the documents mentioned in pararaph 142 of guideline, I had this document but i forgot to submit and got refused.

when did you register your self employment with HM revenue?

I registered with HMRC 3 weeks back.
